Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
I was charged with public intoxication three weeks ago,and the court date is coming up soon. (This happened in sevierville tn) Should i retain an attorney or just pay the fine? I was in my home when the police arrived, however i was asked to go to my car to get I.D at that time i was charged.

Short answer: If you are not guilty, fight it.
You don't need a stupid Public Intoxication conviction hounding you for the rest of your life.
And if you do get the charge dismissed, be sure and get the arrest expunged.
