Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
possible contributing to the delinquency of a minor?
I am a 15 (as of oct.24,2004) year old female residing in Ohio under the custody of my mother. I am dating a guy who just turned 20 jan.8,2005. He lives in TN. We have been together for a year plus, and are genuinely in love. My dad just found out and has threatened to have the sherrif come talk to him and have him thrown in prison. My mom however approves of our relationship. My dad says it is called contributing to the delinquency of a minor. I am unfamilar with this law. We are not sexually involved in any way. Can my dad legally to anything about this situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

If you are not sexually involved and your father cannot point to any other delinquency that you are doing then your boyfriend is not contributing to any delinquency. Be good and don't get into trouble and you will be able to stay together.
