a court order of protection
after taking out a court order of protection, can i cancel it without going to court?if i cannot ,what will the court do to me , if i don't show up on the court date?

The answer depends a great deal on the judge and the prosecuting attorney involved, but generally speaking not showing up in court in such a case is not a good idea and could end up with you jailed for either contempt of court (for ten days) or for filing a false report (and doing more than 30 days).
