Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
define joyridding
My daughter 13 ask for the car keys from a 17 yr old male(freind) to listen to the radio..
She intern gave him the keys to her ATV 4WHEELER...
as she was listning to the radio she descided to drive the car down the driveway..the boy pulled up beside her and they drove down a rural road with no protest from the boy...
She turned around a short distance and on the way back to the driveway lost control of car and ended up in a ditch..
The boy got in the car and said dont worry about it it was my fault for letting you drive,,
That night the parent called me and insisted i pay for the damage to the car..i said what damage i didnt see the car before or after..i said no..
bring the car by and let me see the damage..
THAT was june 2001..i never heard from the guy until today..
My daughter recieved a supeana for juvinile joyridding
and i have to appear in court on 10-08-01...
I see fault of both parties, but what are her consiquences...
