Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
Expunging criminal records in Tennessee
I wanting to find out about expunging a person's criminal record. At the age of 17 my brother was convicted of 7 counts of arson. He is now 33 years old and served his time in prison for his crimes. He is now wanting to move to Australia and had a passport and everything, but they will not let him enter until his record is expunged. I am asking how, where and how much does this cost and the procedure it will take to do it. Thank you

Re: Expunging criminal records in Tennessee
Tennessee only allows expungement if the charges were dismissed or the defendant was found not guilty.
Sounds like your brother does not qualify.
