Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
harrasment.
I am being harrassed by my boyfriend's ex wife. She has left threatening messages on our answering machiene about not leaving my car alone, she has sent me numerous email type correspondance to which i have asked her to stop on more than one occasion, and now she has gotten to the point where she is stalking me at a daycare where my friend takes her child. I am genuinly in fear of this person, and for this reason, have taken out a warrant as well as an order of protection. My question is, I have a witness to the stalking, as well as the copies of the emails, and the message left on the machiene, my car had had an attempted burgulary on it 2 weeks after the message was left, as well, I have incident reports and 911 logs of everything, I'm going to have to go to court in a couple of days for the order of protection, and I will have to go to court once she is arrested, as well, what are my options? What kind of lawyer do I need? And, will I just get laughed out of the courtroom by the judge because this looks so silly to him?

Re: harrasment.
No one is going to laugh you out of the courtroom. The worst thing that could happen is that the judge finds that you don't have enough proof to get the order of protection. You may want an attorney to put on the proof for you at the order of protection hearing.
