Is there any kind of legal action that can be taken against someone that harrasses your faimly daily and accusses you of theft

In Tennnessee, if a person files false criminal charges against AND you get the charges dismissed in court and are not convicted of the charge and do not plead guilty, then you can sue for malicious prosecution the person who took out the charges against you in the first place. If you would care to discuss this option, feel free to call -- I have handled such cases in the past. But be aware of th efact that if you are going to sue for this in Tennessee you MUST file your lawsuit within one year from the date the charges were dismissed. If there were no criminal charges filed, but they are merely making false claims of theft in the community, then you can sue for slander if the lies are spoken or for lible if it is written, but again you must sue within one year from teh date of any false writing (a lible) or within 6 months from any spoken lie (slander).
