Hospital bill

I was taken to a hospital by police

because of drug use. I was forced to

stay in the hospital for about a week.

During my stay I notified the hospital

staff that I cant afford to pay them.

Now I have recieved a 13.000$ bill. I

am a student and dont have any

income. I didnt go to the hospital

voluntarily but I was forced to go

there. Now am I supposed to pay the

hospital bill or the police should pay

the hospital bill?

It may depend on whether your were in police custody. You may want to consult an attorney in person if you believe you should not be held liable for this debt.
