Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

ineffecitve assistance of attorney

I went to court on a worthless check charge and my attorney(pd) told me to plea guilty.

I have never had a bad chech and I have a good standing with my bank. But the attorney convienced me that i should plead guilty and pay the court cost and the amount of the checks. 3 checks less than 100.00 dollars. I plead guilty and was fined 800.00 put on probation, and told to due community services. Now I need the leading case for ineffective assistance of counsel inorder to file a motion to withdraw my plea.

Re: ineffecitve assistance of attorney

You need a lot more than "the leading case," you need a good attorney to argue the issue for you.
