Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
Liability and Forfieture of Bond
We signed a bond contract for a friend through a bail bondsman and he has not showed up in this state at all but a few months ago he was in custody in Texas we supplied the info to the bondsman and they could have extradited him back to the state of Tenn, why didn't they do that if the idea is to bring him back for charges but instead they let him walk out of jail in Texas.

Re: Liability and Forfieture of Bond
One possible reason is that the Texas or Tennessee charges were misdemeanors. Most states find it too expensive to extradict for misdemeanors. You should try to get your friend to return to Tennessee or you could lose your bond money. For more info, see www.gsmithlawfirm.com
