Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
Opportunities For Ex-Felons
I would like to know if there are any states that allow ex-felons to practice law? It seems only logical to me that someone who has been in the middle of the our legal system would make the best lawyer considering that they know the system from the ''inside, out.''

Re: Opportunities For Ex-Felons
I would think any state can waive the felon's bar to practicing law upon good cause shown. The trouble you may face is convincing a state supreme court that good cause exists. Perhaps you may wish to look at the Bible's Moses. He was a murderer before being a judge, or St. Paul, who spent many years in prison. For more info, see, www.gsmithlawfirm.com .
