Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

Order of No Contact

I have a friend that is under an order of no contact. He is requesting that I write a letter asking her to reconsider her charges against him. If I know that he is under an order, by a judge, of no contact, can I be charged or held liable for sending a letter on his behalf?

Thank You,

Re: Order of No Contact

I would need more facts to properly answer your question. My initial impression would be not to get involved. However, if you want a better answer, I would need to know why he has the "no contact" order. Again, it would probably be best not to contact her on behalf of your friend because it could be considered a conspiracy to violate the order, and your friend may be violating his order by contacting her through you. You could also get in trouble as a co-conspirator.
