Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

I was place on probation in feb. 2010. 680$ fines plus 45$ a mo. For my probation officer. And I had 40 hours or so of community service. I paid all my fines. I paid everything I owed my probation officer. And I completed my comm service. I passed my drug test once I paid all my fines and my p.o said I was done and didn't have to come back. To my suprise, its a month later and he wants me to take a DT I told him I wouldn't pass, but what I'm wondering is, when I paid all that off, and he told me I was finished and didn't have to come back, can he call me back in to take another drug test randomly.

My charge was paraphenailia. 11-29 suspended on probation+fines and comm service.

When he said I was done, did this not mean I was off probation? I asked him specifically if I needed to sign any papers and he said no. My dad told me that they can still yank my chain so to speak until my probation is fully over...which would mean feb of 11. And that I was basically placed on unsupervised once I paid him and finished my comm service.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated. I've got to go see him in about 10 hours and I need all the info I can get.

If you were placed on 11 months and 29 days probation effective February 2010, then you are still on probation until February 2011. And you are subject to random drug screens at any time throughout your period of probation.

While the probation officer has leeway to relax reporting times (for example, from once a month to once every two months) once you have accomplished everything that was ordered, you are not exempt from reporting and being tested unless the Judge placed you on unsupervised probation.
