Can I use my pretrial diversion for a vandalism charge in TN?

If otherwise qualified, a diversion is a means of disposing of a valdalism charge.
As of July 1, 2011 the vandalism must be for under $500 in damage (that is, a misdemeanor) or the District must be willing to reduce the charge to that amount. That is for pretrial diversion, a diversion without a guilty plea in advance..
A post-trial diversion may include vandalism of up to $10,000 (a class C Felony), but the Defendant must be willing to plead guilty.
