Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

I was recently arrested by a police officer on my way walking home from a friends house after having two drinks over a 6 hour period. Without getting into too many details, I was held for 3 hours in the back of the officer's car after being tazed twice, kicked in the back of the neck and back repeatedly, and verbally assaulted. I was then moved to another officer's car while the two of them filed the report over a 47 minute span and refused my request to be taken to a hospital, given a field sobriety test, or a breathalizer. They called me a "spick" twice and continually insisted that I was under a substance's effects each and every time that I tried to ask what I was being charged with and why.

I now face charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer. I've never even had a speeding ticket. I'm a 20 year old Hispanic student at a private college and I was only 3 blocks away from my house. If I do not follow with a lawsuit and just try and get the whole thing behind me, what do you think the probably outcome will be? I'm worried about telling the whole story as it may be an uphill battle that isn't worth making. I made pretrial, my car was towed and they "lost" my cell phone battery on the way out of property claims at metro PD. I want justice, but if there's a chance that the judge would see it as me lying or trying to not own up to being underage and having had drinking, I'd rather just make some sort of bargain for community service. If that's not an option, I will execute my rights and come at them with the truth in my appearance then follow up with a suit against the western precinct in Nashville.

Thank you.

(If it helps, the officer had tattoos and was mid-40's aged, and I have none.) Any other questions can be answered if requested.

Thanks again.
