Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

shplifting

My wife was arressted and taken to jail along with my three small children. the security guard at the store said she was stealing items. She was arrested before she left the building. The guard said he thought she was going to leave the building, so he stopped her and called the police. The warrant sid she was concealing items. What are the laws in Tennessee for this?

She should not have been arrested unless she was in fact concealing items or was heading out the door. The first thing you neet to do is to get an attorney to defend against the charge of theft (shoplifting) and then if that charge is dismissed she should look at filing suit against the store.
