simple assault
how do i get a district attorney to drop the charge of assault if i am the person that prosecuted?

Under Tennessee law you are NOT the prosecutor. The District Attorney is.
The best thing to do is to speak with the defense attorney in the case. Do NOT speak with the District Attorney unless the defense attorney urges you to do so.
