what is the maximum sentance for a minor with a simple possession's charge for marijuana in the state of tennessee

Unlike adults where the sentence would be a specific maximum (11 months an d 29 days for simple possession of marijuana), in the case of a juvenile, he or she could be held until they turn 19... even if they were 12 when they were charged.
No, it's not fair, but that is the law.
