tennessee underage comsumption

My son was charged with underage comsumption . He is a student at UT Knoxville. Do I need to hire an attorney ? What are the normal consequences? He has no other record. Thanks

Since no Tennessee lawyer has responded to this question, I will suggest that if possible your son should have an attorney to ensure that possible adverse consequences are minimized in disposing of this criminal charge now pending against him.
