Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

i have a trespassing charge as well as two failure to appears even though i only missed one court date. I currently am the only caregiver for my parents is there any way i could get probation?

Of course of course you can get probation.

Mere "criminal trespassing" is a Class C misdemeanor, as low as it goes in Tennessee criminal law.

But failing to come to court is serious, and is a Class A misdemeanor (up to 11 months and 29 days, again,

usually on probation, but yikes, that's a lot of time and money).

Be on time neatly dressed for your next court appearance, with an apology to the judge and -- hopefully -- a reasonable excuse for missing court.

And, as usual, I give the advice "at least talk to an attorney who practices in that court", even if you cannot afford an attorney or don't want to go to the expense of hiring an attorney to represent you. At least be prepared to walk into his/her office and say "I want to pay you for 30 minutes of talk" and be ready to pay out $50-$100. It may well turn out to be the best investment you can make.
