Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
Is it true that if a post conviction appeal, Isnt ruled on within 3 years, they have to by law let the convicted person go free? if it is true where can i find written proof of this? thank you for your time.

Not true. The only time "they have to let the convicted person go free" is when the sentence has been served in full, even if the appeal is pending.
