Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
Vietnam Vet jailed needs medical treatment
What has happened-
A decorated combat Veteran (2yrs Vietnam) has been jailed for an action that was not his fault.
Problem = Wrongfully processed-
At the time of his arrest he was and still is "dilusional and paranoid" . Johnnie has not had proper treatment for this condition.
Instead of jailing Mr. --name removed--, for a crime that happened because of his mental condition and not having proper treatment, Mr. --name removed-- is dying in jail.
What we want-
Primarily we are looking to have Johnnie placed in a hospital where he will receive proper treatment and be looked after by those familiar with his condition.
Secondly in an effort to find justice for the improper handling and suffering as a result of the negligent manner he has been processed we seek a lawsuit against the county . Because his medical needs have been neglected, he is in a worse state of mind, suicidal.
BOTTOM LINE--we are looking someone to take our case. We don't seek money for ourselves, any monetary gains from the suit would gladly go to paying lawyer fees.
