Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
With The Wrong People.
My 18 yr. old son was with some friends and they were pulled over and concented to have the vehicle searched.. Upon the search they fond a Marajuana Pipe and some weed.. Less than a 1/2 oz.. It was about 3 to 4 joints worth. The person that it belonged to would not own up to it.. What is the worst that can happen to my son? He recivied a ticket for the pipe only.

He could go to jail, have this conviction on his record for the rest of his life, be disqualified from certain jobs, and not be eligible for certain academic programs. In addition, if he has two or more prior convictions for simple possession, he could be convicted as a felon, loose his right to vote in addition to the aforementioned outcomes.
