Legal Question in DUI Law in Tennessee

I got a dui back in April of 2014 and lost my license for a year and put on probation for a year. I meet with my probation officer each month and pay my fines faithfully. January 1, 2015, my girl friend and I got into an argument and the police was called and I got arrested and bonded out today, January 2, 2015. No punches were thrown nor any visible wounds or scratches. Is this a violation of my probation and what could happen, if anything?

A new arrest can lead to a violation of probation warrant being sworn against you. If found in violation of your probation, the judge can order you to serve some or all of the original sentence (11 months and 29 days) in jail.

Warning: Don't try and hide the new arrest from your probation officer. They get a copy of the booking log and will be very upset that you did not promptly report it.

Be the first to tell your probation officer about the new arrest, see if he or she will hold off swearing out a warrant until the new case is resolved. Even if the probation officer declares "I must take out a warrant if there is a new arrest" you can ask that the warrant carry no bond, an OR bond, or even be issued as a citation.
