Legal Question in DUI Law in Tennessee

DUI & leaving scene of accident, Bristol TN

A friend was charged with leaving the scene of an accident (hit parked car, no one in it) and DUI in Bristol Tennessee. He has previously fled 2 other states after being charged with DUI's, a total of 2 in one state and 1 in another. Will Tennessee find out about these othere issues, and, if so, what consequences does he face?

P.S. He is also a fugitive from Texas, he was arrested for DWI, released on bail, and fled that State also. I am not sure, this one may have been more than 10 years ago. Thanks for your help.

Yes your friend is in a lot of trouble.

He is wanted and Bristol will at some point find out about his record. Do not offer to help this person, beyond telling him to get a lawyer. You can be charged with harboring a fugitive.

If you want to help him, help him find a lawyer and get into AA. He has a drinking problem.

Good Luck.
