What is abandonment
What constitutes abandonment of a child by a parent?
My ex-husband has not saw my 5 year old daughter in
4 1/2 years , but refuses to allow my husband to adopt
her. Is there anything I can do?

Re: What is abandonment
Under Tennessee law, if the child's father has not had any contact with the child for six months, then that is a significant factor in allowing the child to be adopted. There are other factors that are also involved and I would have to speak with you about those....Bill Poland
