Banking question in relation to separtion

My husband has filed for divorce I have been served and know that I cannot go spend money change my 403B etc. and but my husband continues to write bad checks from our joint checking account. I have not deposited or written anything from that account in months = can I legally have my name removed from the account without his signature. He has already ran up about $30,000 changes that I was not aware of and he is killing me. I cannot keep covering his NSF's. The Credit Untion wants both signatures - but I don't understand why I cannot remove my name. Please advise.
