Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee
Name Change
My girlfriend and I would like for her to be able to use my last name. Can we legally have her name changed to mine? I realize that same-sex marriage in not recognized in TN. I did not know if this was a possibility or not. Thank you.

To legally change your name, you will need to file a Petition for Change of Name in which you will need to state that you are a resident of the county in which you will be filing the petition & stating the reason for desiring the name change
