In a "RE-marriage" is it legal for a step parent to corporal punish a a step child?

Legal? Yes.

Advisable? No.

The court deciding custody (whether the court handling the divorce or a juvenile court if the parents were never married) may entere an order prohibbiting the step-parent from using corporal punishment, but it is not illegal for a step-parent to spank a child just because the are a step-parent.
