Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Child support collection when another state or local agency won't help

How can you collect child support from a different state then you reside, if neither agency will help you, because you are not receiving any Financial assistance from them? And how do you get a hearing to modify the order if they won't contact him? The father is only ordered to pay $25.00 a week or 17% of income whichever is greater and he does not pay anything and my child will be 12 in December.

Re: Child support collection when another state or local agency won't help

Too many questions unanswered. One: Where is the order? Another state or Wisconsin.

Two. If another state have you domesticated the order.

Three. If in Wisconsin, why haven't you done it yourself?

Your thinking that the government will do this for you is wrong. The government is under-staffed and under-funded. I don't know how Wisconsin manages to collect the support they do. The computers are confronted with very complex problems.

Now what you should do is to read The EXfactor - excellent book on how to take your EX back and win. No one will do this for you.

There are numerous things you should explore and I recommend that you talk to an attorney regarding reconciliation motions, etc.

Good luck
