Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

child support obligations

My son's father currenly pays child support to a ex-wife of 44% of his net income. We are not married and he also pays me $250 a month in child support but we have no court degree, If we do a court decree what will the amount be that he will be entitled to pay and will his other child support amount decrease (I believe the max amount in the state of TN is 44% payout)?

Re: child support obligations

Tennessee allows the court to order a non-custodial parent to pay up to 50%.

Under TN law he will have to pay 21% of his net income after first deducting what the government snatches and then also deducting what is ordered paid in other child support cases.
