Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Collecting child support/back support

I am a mother of 3 girls. their father has not paid child support in 9 mths. he has not seen them in 9 mnths.

I have went to court and it was decided he owed back support, when he did not pay we went back to court and he did not show up for the hearing, the judge issued a failure to appear warrant, I can not get Knox county to issue the warrant, he lives in the next county over. I have called the county we went to court in they tell me that if I call the county he lives in that they will pick him up, when I call there they tell me that they need paperwork from the other county. We went to court in October it is now April and nothing has been done. What can I do ?

Talk with the attorney handling your case. You should be able to get an Order of Attachment issued for the county where the case is heard, even if a sheriff's office in another county has to serve it on him and arrest him.
