Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee
Control
I have been divorced for 5yrs. My ex-wife has legal custody and I have the normal visitation rights. My question is. Can she tell me what I can and what I can't do when I have my son? The reason I'm asking is because she seems to think that she can tell me what games he can play, if he can ride on my motorcycle, and small things of that nature.

Re: Control
No, she does not have the right to tell you how to spend your time with your son when you have visitation unless there are stipulations in the final decree prohibiting certain activities. Generally you are entitled to spend your time with your child as you desire so long as there is no risk of harm to the child.
