Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

custody agreement violation

My sister went to pick up her child

today for the month of July and he

wouldn't give her to her. It's a

violation of their custody

agreement and I was wondering is

their anything she can do until

they go back to court? He knows

he violated the agreement and he

even stated they could hold him in

contempt before she took her.

Re: custody agreement violation

She needs a certified copy of the current court order.

Then call her local policing agency (police, sheriff or constable). See if any of them will go with her to the house and ask him to surrender the kid.

Good luck!
