custody of daughter

I am wanting custody of my 8 year old daughter. 4 years ago i went for custody and didn't win because i work swing shift and was not married i am married know.we have joint custody exwife being primary cust.4 years ago my exwife was wild she got fired from several jobs had differrent men living with her and my daughter drank draino and ex did nothing but put her back to bed.know shes not working again has had another baby with another man who shes not married to she know lives with her parents recently my kid had surgery my ex didnt show until the surgery had started and left before she woke up ang didnt even call and check on her.the doctor said no activity for 2 weeks 5 days later my ex let my kid go to a bowling party, my mom got my kid 7 days later and she was so doped up she was talking out her mind my ex had gave her all the pain meds in 1 week that should have lasted 2 weeks.then i find out she has been sending my child to school in shoes that were 4 sizes to big.I was wanting to go for custody do you think i would have a chance.my ex has 3 kids 3 different dads and no job and know lives with her parents.

In order to obtain a change of custody, you need to show, among other things, a material change in circumstances which was not anticipated at the time of the last order. You certainly seem to have alleged that. My suggestion is that you run this past a local attorney or two familiar with family law and see if you are ready to go back to court for this. Best of luck.
