Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

custody situation

My fiance& i have temp.custody of his 4yr old son.His ex agreed to let him move to tn. with us.School will be starting soon & he is old enough to start.We have talked to her &she doesn't know what she wants to do about it.Ouestion is what role do we have in deciding where he should go to school?
