Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

how come i cant have all custody and support my own kid

My question is

mY husband would like to sign his total rightsover to me and not pay child support and he would no longer be thier father. the question i put to you in order for him to do so the state of tenn. expects me to give my rights up also so my parents can adopt my

children. i want total custody and responisbility to my kids and we want him out of our lives. how would i go about proposing this to the courts in tenn that i would be the legal parent and my parents have joint custody of them seeings i have a full time job and live with them any how . can you sight a court or case similar to mine that i could suggest to my attorney./

You are wanting to do something that is not in the best interests of the chilren, but you are wanting to do it simply because it will make your life easier.

It is my belief that you will not find a Tennessee court willing to do it, unless you have another father-to-be ready to adopt the children to replace the bio-dad.

I suspect that the reason your attorney can not find a Tennessee case authorizing what you want to do is because there are none.

Stop focusing on what YOU want (getting rid of the ex entirely) and start focusing on what your children should have -- a father in their lives and his financial support.
