we were married in arkansas, neither of of lived there can we file in any state?

You can file for divorce in any state where you meet the jurisdictional requirements -- generally that means living in the state for a given period of time (generally 6 months or a year) or that the conduct providing grounds for the divorce happened in the state where you file.
