Divorce

My sister is going through a divorce and is wanting to buy another house when the divorce is final. Her husband will not refinance the house to take her name off, is there anything that can be done to get her name taken off of their previous home in order to purchase another one after the divorce. Thanks!

The answer to the question depends upon the wording of the divorce decreee and/or marital disolution agreement. If he was not required to remove her name, he might not have to. My advice is for her to call the attorney who rep'd her in the divorce and find out if anything can be done.
