entitled to house or not

my husband and i were given a house from my mother in law when we announced our wedding. i recently discovered that the house is in her name and his only. if we were to divorce, what does that do to me as far as the house is concerned?

You may be simply out of luck, but there are a few more things to look at beyond what you mentioned in your short post. For instance, if your mother in law had told you and others that she was giving the house to both of you and you detrimentally relied on that assurance, you may well have a claim.
