Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee
Family Law
My wife and I have been having problems since March 06. She is addicted to her job and I have been the primary parent for our child (taking care of her getting her to daycare, picking her up, giving baths, etc) She is about to start kindergarden and my wife wants to send her to private school. Due to the cost and the distance (40 miles away) I told her that I did not like the idea. Now she tells me that she is enrolling her reguardless of what I say and she is moving out because we cant agree. I know that if she puts her in this school, all the responsibilities of bringing her, picking her up, and the cost will fall on me. We have a very good and small public school system 2 miles down the road. Can she do this? Is there anything that I can do?

Re: Family Law
If she has moved out and you are expecting to divorce, you should file a petition to divorce her and seek status as primary residential parent. As such, you would be the primary decision maker for your child and your spouse would have to pay you child support. If you are in the Middle TN area and would like to proceed, please give my office a call. Thanks,
