Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Fathers visitation rights

Can I withhold child support payments or reduce the amount of child support temporarily that I am paying if mother refuses me visitation priveledges? Can I charge her for gas and work missed if I have driven 125 miles to pick up children when she had agreed to it, but when i arrived there she refused to let me pick up my children?

Re: Fathers visitation rights

No. Not in Tennessee.

You can not withhold support because of denial of visitation.

The proper remedy is to take her to court for contempt.
