Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee
Grandparents seeking custody of grandchildren
My parents recently were awarded temporary custody of my nieces. One child has an STD which has been discovered since the child has been in my parents home, and the child states she has had this rash for 2
years. The doctors visit comfirmed, because her titer was high. The judge has awarded the mother unsupervised visitation beginning Sat at 10am, and ending Sun. at 6pm. There are some other concerns I have with the children having unsupervised visits. There is a sexual assault investigation going on, and in couseling, one of the children have said that the mother and past boyfriend killed baby brother that died a couple of years ago ruled as SIDS.
Is there anything we can do as a family to keep this mother from having unsupervised visits, because she is aware of what the child has told in counseling and we are afraid she will harass or in some way keep her from continuing to talk about the things she knows?

All you can do is bring the issue up with the court (and also possibly with the police or District Attorney) and ask the court to set the limitiations it considers proper. The decision is not yours to make.
