Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee
My Ex Husband trying to see my kids
I am a single mother of two boys one is 6yrs old, and the other is 2yrs old. I got divorced in April of 2007. I have sole custody of my two kids. Their father never showed up for any of our hearings, and he was indicated on sexual charges with the Children's Center Of Tenn. He ran to Conn. He calls my family all the time trying to threaten to take me to court but he has a warrant for his arrest for non- child support payments with me and the state. Is he able to fight me? How can I just get his rights terminated so he doesn't molest my 2yr old? I don't see how no one is doing anything for the fact it was indicated that he had molested my 6yr old son when he was almost 5 yrs old and nothing has been done about it. He claims he is going into the Army and he went years ago and was dishonorable discharged. He tells my family the military wipes your record clean and he is set, is that possible? Please help? I paid for our divorce and I am willing to pay to keep him away from my two sons!

Re: My Ex Husband trying to see my kids
The military does not wipe your record clean, so don't worry about that. A termination of parental rights is possible given the facts that you have given. Perhaps you should also consider a restraining order to prevent him from contacting you or the family.
