my husband having parental rights to step daughter

im a british citizen living in the us and married to american and looking to give my husband some kind of parental right to my daughter so he can have a say in her upbringing and able to give consent to medical care ect without giving mine up as everywere i look that seems to be one of two options. adoption is the other and i don't think her biological father will consent to that. i know i have full parental resposibility for her and he don't have parental responsibility for her due to uk laws but i do believe he can have a say in her being adpoted please any help or advice on this will be really welcomed

Your question is not completely clear, and part of the reason for that may be because it involves a fair amount of specific detail which is not included.

Either try reposting with added detail, or call to speak with me by phone.

Generally speaking there are ways to get the step-father authority to consent to medical care, and those approaches may be formal (going to court for a court order) or informal (contacting her pediatrician or executing a limited power of attorney for child care -- you can find one at my website at http://jesbeard.com/17a.htm
