Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

can they take my income for my new husbands child support?

I am engaged to a man who has 3 kids from a prior marriage. We just recently began construction on a house in TN, but his kids live in NY. Once we get married, can they use my income to raise his child support? Also, his ex has said that she will ''go after '' our house. The house is jointly in both of our names, so would they ever be able to attatch anything to our home?

Re: can they take my income for my new husbands child support?

Whether she can use your income information is a question of NY law since that is where the kids are; as to the attachment - it is not even an issue should your fiance pay child support on time; child support will be enforced against your fiance regardless of the question on the house.
