if child custody changes to the present non-custodial parent, does the income of the step parent, whom is self employed, figure into the child support amount should custody change over?

Re: income of step parent in child support decision

The new Child Support Guidelines that went into effect January 2005 doesn't require the income of the stepparent to calculate child support. However, if the new custodial parent doesn't have income a portion of the new parent spouse's income could be imputed to the new custodial parent. If you need help call 423 266-4855
