Minor child name change
What steps do I need to take to change my 6 year old son's name to match my new name and his step father's name?

If you are going to do this, the best route is to do a step-parent adoption. You can ask for the name change in the petition. This has the added benefit of securing your husband's legal rights in relationship to your child. Feel free to call my office if you are in the Middle TN area. Thanks,
