Re: misrepresentation

Contact the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility in Nashville and they will explain the process to you, but you do need to keep in mind that attorney's generally do not promise OUTCOMES, they instead work to represent your interests, and you are responsible for paying them even if the results were not what you had hoped. If you haven't paid for what they did, even though it was 16 months ago, you still owe it and the attorney is properly billing for it. If the attorney is still doing work you no longer want done and THAT is your complaint, simply tell the attorney to stop and that you will not pay for anything done after the date you have advised the attorney he or she is no longer needed.
