Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Money

I've filed for divorce 3 months ago on grounds of adultry. He is finally

going to answer them. I only asked for child support and my half

of the house. He said that the bank told him there is no equity

in the house, so I can't get anything. Is this right? It seems to me

I should get something for putting up with alot of emotional abuse

for 10 years out of the 13 years we have been married.

Re: Money

If you have already filed for divorce I suspect that you also already have your own attorney.... it would be a good idea to talk with him about the specifics of your case since he will be familiar with far more details than you could post here, and it is the details that will determine the answers.

If there is no equity in the house (and merely because your husband SAYS there is none does not mean there is none), then it would be impossible to get anything from the house.
